Hardcore All-Epic Player of the Game

The term "hardcore" can be defined as someone having a complete focused, enthusiastic commitment to a passion; the term "epic" is an event or person that is truly special and has the potential or currently is legendary.

Here's this weeks Hardcore All-Epic Player of the Game.

WEEK 14 - Jerrell Freeman

Saskatchewan Football got quite a treat on Turkey Day Monday - unfortunately, they were both on the side of the Evil Empire. Former Saskatoon Hilltop Larry Wruck had his name enshrined on the Eskimo Wall of Honour and U of R Ram Alumni Donovan Alexander made his old teammates pay with two interceptions on Ryan Dinwiddie.

On the Rider side of the ball, after reveiwing the game film, there is only one clear winner of this week's All Epic Player of the Game. Leading the defense to one of it's best performaces of the year - the always 'ballin' Jerrell "Don't Call Me Morgan" Freeman was the sparkplug that never quit. Freeman, the epitomy of Rider Pride, went all-out from start to finish and led the Green and White with six tackled including a forced fumble.

Freeman may get overlooked when it comes to the CFL Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year because of the Riders record. If you were to look at game film of each play throughout this 2011 season though - you will find that no other player in the CFL combines energy, enthusiasm, leadership yet is humble like the forever epic Jerell Freeman.

On May 21st, 2011 ladies from all over Rider Nation were treated to an amazing experience as Weyburn played host to Football 101!
